Globalization Accelerates: C&D Rubber (Thailand) Co., Ltd. Commences Operations

2025/02/28

On February 27, the C&D Rubber (Thailand) Co., Ltd., invested and constructed by C&D Commodity Trading—a wholly-owned subsidiary of C&D Inc. (600153.SH)—officially commenced operations. This marks C&D Inc.’s first independently built and operated overseas wholly-owned factory, signifying a solid milestone in C&D Commodity Trading’s implementation of its specialization and internationalization strategies, as well as a new chapter in its global expansion.

Located in Sakon Nakhon Province, northeastern Thailand, the C&D Rubber (Thailand) Co., Ltd. spans approximately 190,000 square meters and features multiple functional zones. Key facilities include raw material warehouses, production workshops, finished product storage areas, maintenance workshops, cleaning workshops, hardware and auxiliary material warehouses, office buildings, and employee dormitories. Equipped with two production lines, the factory specializes in processing solid rubber products, with an annual production capacity of 80,000 metric tons. It plans to employ over 200 local staff. Additionally, the facility incorporates internationally advanced environmental protection systems to minimize resource consumption and waste emissions, positioning itself as a model “green factory.”

Leveraging its extensive expertise in the natural rubber supply chain, C&D Commodity Trading’s Thailand factory strengthens its control over core resources and synergizes advantages across trade operations and upstream raw material sourcing, enabling a strategic transformation from a traditional trader to an integrated industrial chain operator. Moving forward, C&D Commodity Trading will use this facility as a strategic anchor to deepen industrial chain collaboration, expand value chain opportunities, and partner with stakeholders to build a robust ecosystem for the global natural rubber industry.
