On June 15, C&D Emerging Industry Equity Investment Co., Ltd. issued RMB 800 million worth of non-public, corporate innovation and entrepreneurship bonds (Phase I) to professional investors, setting a record-low issuance interest rate among bonds of the same rating and maturity in Xiamen.

The C&D subsidiary has so far been the only entity that is authorized to issue innovation and entrepreneurship bonds to private fund managers in Fujian Province. Since its debut in the bond market in 2021, the company has received good feedback from the market as well as recognition from investors. The issuance of the bonds is an important initiative to support innovation-based firms and start-ups and the money raised will be used for relevant projects, so as to help those companies to be leaders in emerging industries of strategic importance, such as advanced manufacturing, biomedicine, new materials, electronics, and information technology.
